File Storage helps Jump Studios easily collaborate with design partners around the world and effectively communicate with clients.

Incorporated in 2006, Jump Studios specializes in design, animation, editorial, visual effects and original creative. With over 50 years of combined broadcast experience, partners Jeff August and Brian Vos have received multiple Emmy, BDA, regional and local industry honors for their work.

Challenge

Working with design partners all over the world, Jump Studios lacked a simple way to collaborate with its remote teams. Designers based in different cities often worked on the same project, so Jump Studios needed a solution that would make it easy for these designers to work together.

Additionally, Jump Studios wanted to send project drafts to clients and receive feedback in a format that was easy for everyone to understand, regardless of technical ability. “We wanted a simple interface with good upload and download capabilities,” explained Brian Vos, Partner and General Manager of Jump Studios. “The ease-of-use needed to be almost transparent.”

Solution

When one of the partners at Jump Studios came across File Storage, the company decided to try it out.

“When we first experimented with File Storage, we knew immediately that it was the right solution for both our creative workflow as well as our clients,” Brian recalled. Founded in 2005 with the mission to help people access their information easily from any location, File Storage has over 2 million users from thousands of businesses that look to File Storage to replace FTP software, simplify file management, and accelerate team productivity.

Brian found the implementation process to be extremely simple. “It was like spreading butter,” he explained. “We knew that if it was simple for us, it’d be simple for our clients.”

Jump Studios now uses File Storage on a daily basis to share and collaborate on design and video projects of all types. The creative team takes advantage of File Storage’s version tracking capabilities to ensure that all collaborators are working off the most recent version of a file. If changes are made and the team or client doesn’t approve, it’s easy to revert back to a previous version.

When the team finalizes a project, File Storage makes it easy to share with clients as well. Instead of dealing with a complicated FTP server, the account manager simply sends a link to the file or invites the client to view the contents of a folder. “File Storage has become an extension of us. It’s part of our system and how we communicate and work together. It’s like a seamless appendage,” Brian described.
