I had neck and lower back pain, probably due to an automobile accident. The doctor's prognosis was some lifetime medical care, heat treatments, and bed rest when necessary.

Since receiving chiropractic care I have seen tremendous improvement! Due to chiropractic care, I do not experience any pain, and my mobility is excellent. It is evident to me that the Activator Methods technique of adjustment is outstanding, painless and effective. - Shiela, 49

I suffered from acute arthritis in my right shoulder with extreme pain radiating through the elbow into the wrist. Also, numbness in my fingers every morning upon waking, lasting several hours.

After the first three months of care, I noticed considerable improvement in the pain level and a decrease in the numbness in the fingers. Dr. Alexander tried a new procedure he invented and I immediately noticed that the pain was gone! All numbness in my fingers is gone also. I used to come down with two or three bad colds each fall and winter season. To date, I haven't had one!

In my experience, the Activator Method is highly effective, not only with the spine but with the entire skeletal system. - Eileen, 39

I was experiencing headaches, upper back pain, and neck pain, plus numbness in my left index finger. Most of my pain seemed to come from occupational stress: sitting to one side and performing dentistry in patients' mouths for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week caused a lot of muscle tension.

Since undergoing treatment from Dr. Alexander, my headaches are nearly non-existent. The upper back and neck pain and the numbness in my finger have significantly decreased.

Dr. Alexander is not my first chiropractor, but he is the first to use the Activator Methods on me. The technique is much more gentle, yet it is more effective; my adjustments last longer than those of the other (hands on) methods. I also have less muscular soreness after these adjustments. -Deborah, 36

Patient Testimonials

Dear Dr. Bruce,

I just wanted to thank you for the work that you have done on my wrist. When I first came into your office you told me that the pain might be caused by a bad sprain. I had already figured that this might be the reason for the pain, even though I did not know what had caused it. You said that you would begin treatments on my wrist but that, most likely, it would take some time to heal before the pain was gone.

Then, being the very thorough physician that you are, you asked to check my back and neck, as these might be contributing factors to the pain that I was experiencing. Sure enough, there were signs of wear and tear that dated back many years. You gave me a full treatment on the spot.

I then left your office and went on with my day. I tried to put the pain in my wrist aside so that I could finish the tasks that I had at hand. Two hours after leaving your office, I noticed that there was no longer any pain when I rotated my wrist. Neither was there the throbbing pain that I had been experiencing for days. It was still a bit sore when I touched it or put certain amounts of pressure on it, but I continued on with what I was doing. About four hours later, the pain was entirely gone!

As a business owner, this was wonderful for me. One of my priorities is a snow removal business that  I own and operate. Unfortunately, it just-so-happened that there was a snow storm moving in that weekend. There were some men that were unable to make it to the site, and so I had no choice but to fill their positions myself. If you had not helped me, I would not have been able to do this heavy physical labor and the job would not have been done. I worked two 14 hour days with no pain!

Since my first visit, I have been coming back once a week for treatments on my back and neck and for check-ups on my wrist. I will continue to come to you once a week for maintenance for as long as you are in business!

Thank you for the excellence that you have shown in your wonderful craft. I have and will continue to  recommend people to your practice. I thank you so much for the work that you have done and I pray that you will be able to help hundreds of others the way that you have helped me. God bless you, your family, and your practice! -LaMar, 31

I have been participating in competitive sports since I was 5 years old. In that time, I have suffered some of the most routine and some of the most bizarre injuries. I've seperated my shoulder, sprained almost all of my major joints and some minor ones, broken my wrist, and subluxed countless vertebrae. One recent injury sums up how Dr. Alexander has been able to address them all.

I was playing lacrosse when I stepped on a stray ball near the sideline. I immediately sprained my ankle and dropped like a sack of potatoes. The trainers said it would be 4-6 weeks before I'd be back on the field. Until then, I'd have to wrap it up, ice it down, and limp around. Luckily, I was able to get care from Dr. Alexander soon after the incident. After one treatment the pain exponentially decreased. After 2 days I was able to walk normally on it and after one week I was able to exercise. Dr. Alexander got me back on the field in less than half the time the trainers said it would take.

This anecdote is indicative of how Dr. Alexander has been able to treat all of my injuries and keep me healthy. Before I go to any sports doctor, any specialist, and before I start any rehabilitory workout regiment, I will consult Dr. Alexander. -John, 18

I decided to see Dr. Alexander after having a bad experience with a medical doctor. I had severe pain in my lower left leg; at times I couldn't walk due to the pain. A medical doctor ordered back/pelvis x-rays, blood flow and complete series of blood tests and told me to come back in three weeks, which I did. He said I had back deterioration and bad blood flow and to call him in another three weeks. Enough was enough. I figured if I had a back problem, I should see a chiropractor.

After being treated by Dr. Alexander, I am able to walk with no problems and am able to do things around the house. The pain in my leg is only minor and is never debilitating. - Roy, 63

I was involved in a severe head-on collision. As a result, my spine suffered three "whiplashes." I had severe back and neck pain as well as horrible headaches for quite some time.

I truly believe that chiropractic care has brought me, "back from the dead" so to speak. I still have minor, infrequent backaches, but no where near what I had before I sought chiropractic care. I highly recommend it! I've also notice a drop in the number of headaches and common colds I get each year.

When I was introduced to the Activator Methods, I was very skeptical. "How is that thing going to adjust my spine," I wondered. Dr. Bruce told me to, "give it a chance." I'm glad I did! The Activator Method is far superior to "traditional methods," in my opinion. You can't forget that your choice of doctor is also very important. I'm fortunate to be treated by Dr. Bruce. -Patrick, 29

I was having a problem with my vision becoming disrupted and was experiencing dizzy spells. I tried every doctor and every test they could think up. I was finally introduced to the Activator Method of chiropractic care. Eventually, I decided to seek chiropractic treatment as my last hope.

At first, I continued to experience a few dizzy spells, but as time went on and as my spine began to adjust, I had fewer problems with my vision and no more dizziness. I now feel in better health and have more energy, regardless of my very busy schedule. - David, 24

I had chronic back pain for many years, but it was never bad enough to get something done about it. During the end of the summer, the pain was so great that I couldn't sit in my chair at work. At this time, I was convinced to seek treatment.

Since receiving care from Dr. Alexander, I have no pain at all in my back. I can now do things that I never would have attempted before, such as beginning karate lessons. My general health and energy have improved since my care began. I do not get tired nearly as easily as before. I am more physically active, and I feel better when I am active.

As I've experienced it, Activator Methods is a good technique because you don't feel anything when an adjustment is made. The only thing you hear is the click of the activator. - Dave, 24

I had taken a fall out of a cabover truck. I had two herniated discs in my neck, and I had nerve damage to my left shoulder, as well as no feeling in my thumb and index finger, and constant pain in my left arm. Neurosurgeons wanted to operate, but gave me little hope of improvement with all the risks: infection, reoccurance, etc.
After becoming a patient at Alexander Chiropractic Center, I'm back to work after three months with no pain and about 75% of the feeling back in my thumb and index finger. I've also learned a lot about the little things I can do to help myself, like posture and lifting techniques.

I have never been as impressed with anything in the health care industry as I am with the Activator Method. It is painless, simple, has no side effects, and, best of all, it works! In my opinion anyone with back or neck problems who doesn't at least try this is simply a fool! -Edward, 38

I had a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders and a feeling of tenseness all the time. Most of all, I couldn't sleep well.

Since beginning treatment, I can now sleep through the night. The pain in my neck is almost gone, my range of motion has improved, and the tenseness in my neck and shoulders has lessened. There was improvement after only one month of chiropractic care!

I had one previous chiropractic experience, but I didn't like being poked, prodded, and jerked around. I would highly recommend the Activator Methods because it is a safer and more effective method of adjustment. - Helga, 57
