About This Ministry

What is Men of WAR (Worship, Accountability and Relationships)?

Usually, when you think of war, it denotes an armed hostile conflict between nations, a struggle, or a competition between opposing forces for a desired outcome. This is somewhat true for the men's ministry as it pertains to fighting against the forces of hell for our children, families, and communities. However, we're going to also take it a step further. The Bible gives a clear cut picture of who and what a Man of War really is. "But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses." (1Timothy 6:12-13) The war that we are referring to is one of unity, not division, one of peace and not conflict, and one of transformation and not opposition. Sometimes the greatest battles we face are not always against an enemy we can see as much as it is with an enemy we fail to recognize within ourselves.

Men of War is designed to get men to deal with the consistent challenges that constantly face them - Worship, Accountability, and Relationships. In other words, where do you set your affections? Who are you accountable to? Finally, are you taking responsibility for the relationships in your life? A real man that the Bible defines is a man who worships God, is accountable for his thoughts, decisions, and actions, and is proactive in building healthy relationships with his family and in the kingdom of God. The vision of the men's ministry is to train men to discover their true identity in God, lead his family by example, and serve in his community with the highest respect. Our goal is to provide several opportunities for men to come together to develop their full leadership potential.

Some of our gatherings will consist of home fellowships, Men of War Retreats, small-group meetings, men's conferences, and support teams for spiritual encouragement. Besides all of that, we will also offer plenty of opportunities to have fun! Lets come together to enjoy events that men love¼ like fishing, basketball, baseball, bowling, and of course good eating! This will be a life-changing experience you don't want to miss.

Men of WAR, let's fight the good fight of faith! Something worth having is something worth fighting for!
